Keheliya Rambukwalla granted bail
Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya released on bail 3 suspects including former minister Keheliya Rambukwella.
The 3 suspects were produced before the court in connection with the alleged misappropriation of 990 thousand rupees of Sri Lanka Rupavahini Corporation.
The former minister and two others were accused of paying Rupavahini Corporation’s money to buy 600 pipes in the guise of a promotional campaign of the corporation between December 2nd to December 10th last year.
The other two suspects are Rupavahini Corporation former Chairman Wimal Rubasinghe and its Director General Chandrapala Liyanage.
Releasing the two suspects on 50 thousand rupees cash bail and 2.5 million rupees personal bail on each suspect, the Magistrate impounded the passports of the two suspects.
