Former Minister Dallas Alahapperuma said that the connection between the UNP and the SLFP should be similar to that of the connection between the elephant and the goad.

He expressed these views during a media briefing held at Narahenpita Abhayaramaya today.

Elaborating further former Minister Dallas Alahapperuma stated that the relationship between the UNP and the SLFP has now become a one similar to the elephant and the wood apple.

Addressing the media, former Minister Kumara Welgama said he expects all UPFA coalitions to rally at the proposed Matara meeting that intends to appoint former President Mahinda Rajapaksa as the Prime Ministerial candidate.
