People now have the freedom to criticize anyone – statement by the Prime Minister

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe states that they have created enough freedom and democracy in the country today for a person to address even the prime minister with foul language in parliament.

The Premier stated this while attending a meeting of the party activists held in Kuliyapitiya town hall today.

While mentioning regarding former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, the Prime Minister added that those that follow the former President now used to be a group of persons involved in frauds in the past.

The Prime Minister also expressed his views regarding the violent protest staged in Jaffna recently while reiterating that even though people accused the police, no racism has taken place during the incident.
