The 15-year old student, of Ratgama in Boossa in Galle who had gone missing has not yet been found.

The police said that search operations were carried out yesterday throughout the whole of Rathgama.

The Galle police said that, in addition, since the student’s school bag had been found on the railway track near the Ging river, search operations were carried in the Ging river as well deploying divers yesterday and day-before-yesterday.

The Ratgama police received a complaint about the disappearance of a student day-before-yesterday.

As K. Imesh, a grade 10 student of Devapatiraja Maha Vidyalaya in Boossa in Galle did not return home after attending a tuition class, his parents informed the police.

Accordingly the police found the student’s school bag on the railway track near the Ging river on the following morning.

The Ratgama police said that a letter was found in the student’s school bag.

Reports say that in the letter it is mentioned “Mother, forgive me”.
