Rs 40 million robbed from a state bank using fake credit cards from a foreign country

The CID has begun probing an incident of a 40 million rupee fraudulent withdrawal from the accounts of a Sri Lankan commercial bank by using fake credit cards.

The police also made submissions reporting about the incident to the Colombo Fort court yesterday.

Police media spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekera said that no information had so far come to light with regard to suspects who had committed the fraud.
