Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ajith P. Perera stated that decentralized budget allocations should not be given to the current parliamentarians.

He stated this while participating in the ‘Balaya’ political program telecast via Hiru TV last night.

Apart from Deputy Minister Ajith P. Perera, National Organizer and Provincial councilor of UNP Daya Gamage and JVP polit-bureau member MP Sunil Handunnetti as well as Minister Mahinda Amaraweera also participated in the Balaya program which was telecast under the theme of ‘What’s happening now?’.

People prefer 20th amendment more than the 19th amendment: says Minister Mahinda Amaraweera

The topic of yesterday’s political programme ‘Balaya’ broadcast on Hiru tv was “What will happen now?”

JVP political council member MP Sunil Handunetti, UNP National Organiser,Provincial Councillor Dayaa Gamagey, Minister Mahinda Amaraweera representing the UPFA and Deputy Minister  Ajith P. Perera representing the UNP participated in the programme.

At one stage in the programme Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said that there was a greater enthusiasm among people with regard to the 20th amendment for a change in the election system than the enthusiasm that existed for the19th amendment.
