Update : Mother of the student, who committed suicide by jumping into the Gin River, makes a revelation
Several facts have been revealed regarding the death of the 15 year old student of Roobiwala, Boossa in Galle, whose body was found in the Gin River near Ginthota Bridge today.
The mother of the student, Imesh Shrimal, revealed that Imesh has got into an argument with a person, when he was on his way with his father to attend a tuition class.
Imesh went missing on the same night.
However, the parents of Imesh lodged a complaint at Rathgama Police on the same day.
According to the police, his bag was found on the following day with a note saying ‘forgive me mother’.
Thereafter, a search operation commenced in the area surrounding the Gin River, and the body of Imesh was found near Ginthota Bridge this morning.
Rathgama police also stated that when they found the body, there was a crumpled paper in his hand.
However, they could not identify what was written, as it has been soaked in water for several days.
Police media spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that after considering the letter found in the bag and other matters, they suspect the student has committed suicide.
Meanwhile, the mother of the deceased Imesh Shreemal says that Imesh has got into an argument with a person they met on the way to the tuition class.
The father of Imesh has stated that he will find out more details regarding what was said during the argument, after returning home.

Police recovered the body of the missing 15 year old school boy in Boossa in Galle near Gin-thotha bridge this morning.
The parents of the school boy, K. Imesh, lodged a complaint at the Ratgama Police on Monday night.
The parents lodged a complaint since their child, who was studying in Year 10 at Ratgama Deva-pathiraja Maha Vidyalaya, did not return home after attending a tuition class.
Later, the school boy’s bag was found on the railway line near Gin River, and a letter was also found in the bag.
According to the police, the words ‘forgive me mother’ was written on the letter.
Ratgama Police also stated that when the body of the school boy was found today, a piece of paper was crumpled in his hand.
However, the content of the paper could not be identified as it was soaked in water for several days.
Police media spokesman ASP Ruwan Gunasekara stated that an investigation is currently underway regarding the incident.
