Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasigha paid a courtesy call on the Chief Prelate of the Malwathu Chapter most venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala thero this morning.

The premier engaged in a cordial discussion with the Chief Prelate.

Premier Minister Wickramasingha also met with the Chief incumbent of the Asgiriya Chapter Most Venerable Galagama Siri Aththa-dassis thero when he paid a courtesy call on the thero yesterday.

Meanwhile, a group of TNA representatives met the Prime Minister on Friday.

TNA MP Mawei Senadiraja stated that they discussed about the current situation in Jaffna – Kaytes following the tragic incident where a student was raped and murdered.
