Abducted Engineer Karunadasa returns from Nigeria
Sri Lankan Engineer, D.A. Karunadasa, who was abducted and released later by a militant group in Nigeria, returned to the island today.
His family members received him on his arrival at the airport at 1.30 this afternoon.
Describing his ordeal to our news team, D.A. Karunadasa said that he was abducted by the armed militants while they were passing a stretch of 2 km through a forest, on their way to the work site.
He also said that the militants took him to the forest and kept him there for 10 days before releasing him, adding that he strongly believed his company would take measures to rescue him.
