If 20th amendment cannot be finalized, decision to dissolve Parliament immediately: Premier says agreed to 230 seats, more discussions needed
President Maithripala Sirisena says that it has been decided to dissolve Parliament if in case there are difficulties in approving the 20th Amendment.
The President expressed these views meeting with Civil Society Organizations and Activists at the Presidential Secretariat yesterday.
Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe who also participated at the meeting stated that parties shared different views regarding the proportional representative system.
Venerable Maduluwawe Sobhitha Thera also participated at the meeting.
