The Commission to Investigate the Allegations of Bribery or Corruption questioned UNP former General Secretary Tissa Attanayake for 5 hours today.

He was questioned in connection with accepting a ministry portfolio in the previous government during the last Presidential election.

The MP expressed his views to our news team after he was questioned by the Bribery Commission.

Earlier, MP Tissa Attanayake was charged for preparing forged documents. 

He was then arrested and remanded but later released on bail.

He also filed a petition with the Supreme Court against the removal of his membership of the UNP. 

The Supreme Court decided that the UNP action to remove MP Tissa Attanayake from the party was illegal.

Thissa Aththanayaka to Bribery Commission

The former UNP General Secretary Tissa Attanayake appeared before the Commission to Investigate Bribery or Corruption today.

He reported to the Bribery Commission to give a statement in connection with accepting a ministry portfolio in the previous government during the last Presidential election.

The MP who reported to the Commission at 10 in the morning has not still come out.

Earlier, MP Tissa Attanayake was charged for preparing forged documents.

He was then arrested and remanded but later released on bail.
