3 Tamil Parties and SLMC to meet the President and Premier today to discuss about the 20th amendment
The SLMC stated that President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe are scheduled to meet today to discuss the 20th Amendment.
A SLMC senior spokesman told our news team that his party stance would be announced after the discussion between the president and the premier.
Meanwhile Tamil Progressive Alliance leader Mano Ganeshan said that the members of the three allied parties expect to discuss the matter with the president today.
SLMC leader Rauff Hakeem said at a recent meeting held in Matale that legal action would be taken if the 20th Amendment is gazatted.
Meanwhile, Opposition Leader Nimal Siripala de Silva blamed the SLMC and the UNP for objecting to pass the 20th Amendment.
TNA MP Mavai Senathirajah said that his party does not agree with the new electoral system.
