Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe stated that the main issue faced by the country today is providing a better future for the youth.

While attending the National Youth Corps convention this morning, the Prime Minister stated that the revolution has not come to an end.

He stated that the biggest issue is to provide employment for the youth, improve education and establish law and order.

He also added that in order to implement their program, a new parliament should be established, and aim to provide 1 million jobs within 5 years.

Expressing his views further, the Premier stated that in order to provide funds for 1 million jobs, the country needs to seek international markets, sign trade agreements with the US, Europe, India and China and obtain foreign investments.

He also stated that these can be achieved when UNP claims majority power in parliament.
