About 200 employees of a garment factory in the Seethavakapura were admitted to Avissawella hospital this morning due to food poisoning.

A hospital spokesperson stated that more than 100 patients had already been discharged after receiving treatment.

Hospital medical director Dr. Aruna Jayathilake told our news team that food poisoning or contaminated water could be the cause for the workers to fall ill.
