The Police teams moved today to Jaffna from Kilinochchi in search of the 3-year old missing girl of Uruththipuram.

Police moved to Jaffna after the mother of the missing girl confessed that she handed over the girl to her paramour.

The 3-year old Udaya Kumari Darshika had gone with her mother to bathe in a nearby canal on June 21st.

Darshika’s mother stated at the beginning that she left the girl on a rock, and the girl was missing when she returned after bathing.

Police, with the assistance of security forces launched an extensive search operation in the area.

Police Media Spokesman stated that the Airport authorities have been provided photographs of the girl, if any effort is taken to traffic the girl overseas.

Contradictory statements by relatives of the missing girl in Kilinochchi cripples search operations

The Police say the operations carried out in search of the missing girl of Uruththipuram in Kilinochchi have crippled due to contradictory statements made by the girl’s mother and her relatives.

The 3-year old girl had gone with her mother to bath in a nearby canal on June 21st.

It was reported that the mother had left the girl on a rock, and she was missing when the mother returned.

Police, with the assistance of security forces launched an extensive search operation in the area.
