President Maithripala Sirisena says that public money should be used for people’s wellbeing without being wasted on banners and cut-outs.
The President points out that the rulers of the former regime used billions of rupees of state institutions for promoting their personal images.

Meanwhile President Maithripala Sirisena says that mainly officials of two state institutions are linked to persons bringing narcotics into the country.

Speaking further on the occasion the President said that the relevant information had been reported to him last week.
