The time table of the Advanced Level exam which was revised due to the General Election was released by the Department of Examination today.

Accordingly, the A/L exam which begins on the 4th of August will be held until the 13th of August.

The General Election will be held on the 17th of August.

Therefore, after the 13th of August, the A/L exam will recommence on the 24th of August and will continue until the 8th of September.

In addition, the Grade 5 scholarship is scheduled to be held on the Sunday, 23rd of August.

A/L exam not held between 14th to 21st August due to General Election


Minister of Education Akila Viraj Kariyawasam stated that it has been decided to postpone the subjects of the Advanced level exam to be held between 14th to 21st August.

He stated that the subjects will be postponed due to the General Election.

Speaking to our news team regarding the matter, the Minister stated that G.C.E. Advanced Level exam will commence on the 4th of August.

The Minister also stated that they have decided to hold election campaigns after 4.30PM during the days the exam will be held.

Meanwhile, the Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara stated that the Grade 5 scholarship will commence on the 25th of August as scheduled.
