Former UPFA MP Thenuka Vidaana-gamage who surrendered himself to Magistrate court under the allegation of assaulting a group of UNP supporters has been remanded until the 14th of this month.

The MP and co were accused of allegedly attacking a group of UNP supporters with a sharp object, while they were pasting posters in Mahiyangana town on June 29th.

According to our correspondent, a person was hospitalized with cut wounds following the incident.

3 suspects were arrested on the 1st in connection with the assault incident and were produced before the court and remanded until today.

Accordingly the former MP has surrendered himself over today when the case was taken for hearing.
