Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says that it has been possible after a decade to hold an election which would abide by the laws.
He stated this while addressing a rally held in Bulathsinhala area in Kalutara today.
The Premier also stated that he has advised the police to maintain election laws.
Elaborating further regarding the economic development mechanism to be implemented in future, the Premier stated that they intend to launch 45 economic development zones in the country which would develop several sectors including industries, enterprises, agriculture, tourism and fisheries industry.
He further stated that Raigama Economic Development Zone is one such development zone which would comprise 5 to 6 industrial zones with 100 to 200 industries, ensuring employment opportunities for the youth and a means of income.
