The Sri Lankan, who was killed, while fighting alongside with IS terrorists in Syria reported to have served for two years as a principal of an international school in Galewela.

Social Media websites reported last week that this Sri Lankan was killed in an air strike, and IS militants had introduced him as Abu Silani.

The 37-year old Abu Silani reported to be born at Werallagama in Kandy, and his wife is living in Colombo.

He appeared as Musli Lilamdan while serving as an International school principal in Galewela.

A director of the Galewela International School told our news team that Musli Lilamdan resigned from his school after the 2014 December vacation saying that he wanted to go on pilgrimage to Mecca.

Our news team also contacted a director of Daru Kirath Arabic school of Mabola Wattala Moulavi Mahasook Abdul Rahuman to comment on the IS militants.
