Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said that the upcoming election would decide the people’s future.

The Prime Minister said so while addressing a people’s rally held in Kantale yesterday.

Agreement to be signed next week to reopen the closed Kantale Sugar factory:PM

Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe says that a new agreement would be signed with an Indian company on July 27th to re-open the defunct Sugar factory of Kantale.

The premier announced this at a public rally in Kantale today.

The Prime Minister also expressed his views at another public rally held at Pannala in Kurunegala yesterday, stating that the current regime has dropped the prices of fuel, essential goods, and even offered Rs. 50 for 1kg of paddy, unlike the previous regime which deemed them as impossible.

He also stated that they increased the salary of the government servants by Rs. 10,000.

The Premier also stated that former President needs to answer how he would implement the tasks he could not achieve during his 10 years of tenure as the President.
