Police has informed Deputy Minister Vijith Wijayamuni Soysa, former Minister Sumedhaa D. Jayasena, former MP Vijitha Berugoda  that court cases would be instituted against them if they don‘t register their party offices by mid-night today.

While these personalities have set up several party offices in Moneragala, they have not notified the police about any of these offices.

Officers of several police stations in Moneragala inspected election offices set up in the areas under their jurisdiction.

The above information had come to light during the inspection.

Subsequently the relevant people’s representatives have been informed to register their party offices before mid-night today.

Moneragala SSP Priyalaal Dasanayake said that if they didn’t abide by this instruction court cases would be instituted against the relevant personalities
