A tense situation cropped up with the UPFA Kuliyapitiya Divisional councilors leaving the Kuliyapitiya divisional council chamber when its council chairman and UNP councilors were present in the council chamber at its last session held yesterday. That was in protest against Divisional Council Chairman Sampath Ketawala-gedera joining the UNP. However speaking to our news team Kuliyapitiya Divisional Council Vice Chairman Manoj Chaminda said that the chairman had thus joined the UNP to cover up corruption and irregularities.
