Political arena heats up as General Election nears #GenElecSL
The political stage is heating up as the date for the General Election is nearing.
Several political parties have already presented their election manifestos, and criticising parties and persons have become the order of the day.
Addressing a public rally held at Millaniya in Horana, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe described the change which has occurred in the country.
He stated that UNP is not a single party, but a collective of several factions who have joined hands to preserve the revolution and make a change in the country.
Meanwhile, addressing another public rally held in Hambantota, former president Mahinda Rajapaksa said that the current government has failed to keep its promises.
At the same time, addressing a JVP public rally held at Matale today, party general secretary Tilvin Silva stated that those refuted by the people on the 8th of January are included in the candidate list, and questioned if people could vote for them without feeling shame.
