Tuition classes and Seminars targeting A/L exam banned; No Model Papers either

The Department of Examination says that it is prohibited to hold tuition classes, workshops or seminars and to print and distribute model question papers with regard to the A/L examination from the 29th of this month till the 8th of September.

Releasing a communiqué, the Commissioner General of the Department W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara stated that under clause 22 of the 1968 number 25 Public Examinations Act, those who breach this rule can be penalized.

In his communiqué the Commissioner General requested the public to contact the police emergency hotline 119 or Examination Department hotline 1911 to inform regarding any person or institute that breach the particular rule.

The first stage of the examination will be held from the 4th to the 13th of August while the 2nd stage will commence from the 24th of August and will conclude on the 8th of September.
