Minority government granted many relief to the public; Minister Gayantha
Minister Gayantha Karunathilaka says that his government, although holds minority power, granted several reliefs to the public.
Addressing a media briefing held at UNP headquarters Sirikotha today, the minister said each family is saving about 6500 rupees from the relief scheme.
Minister Karunathilaka also expressed his views about the role played by former president Mahinda Rajapaksa during the general election.
Meanwhile, Minister Gamini Jayawickrama Perera states in a communiqué that former president Mahinda Rajapaksa has himself proved the restoration of good governance in the country by the current government.
He said former president Rajapaksa’s consent to pay for his official vehicle, that he is using for the election, is clear evidence to good governance.
Minister Jayawickrama Perera further states that government assets were misused adamantly for political purposes during the last presidential election.
