Update : 19 paged Notice given to the former Chief JMO ordering to produce final post-mortem report of Ruggerite Thaajudeen
Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishantha Peiris issued summons to the former Colombo Chief JMO Ananda Samarasekera today to produce the final report of the post mortem of Ruggerite late Wasim Thajudeen on the next hearing of the case.
The case will be taken for hearing again on September 10th.
The 19 page summons was issued today ordering former Colombo JMO to submit the final report of the Thajudeen postmortem as it was not produced to the court so far.
Meanwhile, CID informed the court today that the statements were recorded from 4 other JMOs who contributed to the postmortem of Thajudeen.
At that point, the magistrate ordered the CID to obtain Attorney General’s advice to produce the 4 JMOs as witnesses to the case.
The body of Ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen was found burnt suspiciously inside his car near Shalika Sports ground at Narahenpita on the 17th of May 2012.

Ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen's death is a murder: CID informs court: Judicial medical officer gives evidence in court today
The court case with regard to ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen’s death is scheduled to be taken up again for hearing at the Colombo magistrate court today.
When the case was taken for hearing yesterday the CID informed court that it suspected that Wasim Thajudeen’s killing had been a murder.
Similarly the CID informed court that the medical reports submitted in connection with the death were contradictory.
Meanwhile investigations held with regard to his death have revealed that the area around his neck had been wounded by assault with a sharp weapon.
Similarly the CID has informed court that it had been revealed that he had also been assaulted with a blunt weapon.
In addition the CID requested that the Colombo Court Medical Officer be summoned to court to give evidence with regard to wounds on Wasim Thajudeen’s body.
Accordingly the Judicail Medical Officer is scheduled to give evidence in court today.
Ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen’s body was found on 17th May 2012 on the road near the Shaalikaa ground in Narahenpita with burn injuries in his motor vehicle in a suspicious manner.
