Cabinet Spokesman Minister Rajitha Senarathna quoted Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe as saying at the Cabinet meeting that a new Bribery Commissioner and commissioners would be appointed after August 18th.

He stated this during the media briefing to inform Cabinet decisions held in Colombo today.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet Spokesman also named the UPFA election manifesto as an open house or Dansela.

He also reiterated that no room would be left to affect anybody with regard to certain allegations of war crimes in the country during the past.

Cabinet Spokesman Minister Rajitha Senarathna further said that the borrowings of the first 6 months of this year have been declined by Rs. 123.1 billion compared to the same period of last year.

When this is taken as a percentage of the ceiling that was approved by Budget for each year, it is 50.5% for the first 6 months of this year to that of the ceiling 69.1% of last year.
