Police security for the Dehiwala cemetery where Ruggerite Wasim Thajudeen's body was buried
Police security has been provided for the Dehiwala Hospital Road cemetery where rugerite Vaseem Thaajudeen’s body was buried.
A Dehiwala police spokesman said that steps had been taken to provide police security to the site from several days ago.
Colombo Additional Magistrate Nishaantha Peiris issued notice on 28th last month to submit to court the final post mortem report on rugerite Vaseem Thaajudeen’s death at the next date of the case.
That was to former Colombo Judicial Medical Officer Ananda Samarasekera.
The case will be taken up for hearing again on September 10th.
The post mortem report on Thajudeen’s death has so far not been reported to court.
The case with regard to ruggerite Vaseem Thaajudeen was called for hearing at the Colombo Chief Magistrate’s court on 27th last month.
On that occasion when the case was taken up for hearing, the CID informed court that they suspect Vaseem Thaadudeen’s death to have been a murder.
Meanwhile in the inspection held with regard to this death, it was revealed that injury had been caused near his neck by assault with a sharp weapon.
Similarly the CID informed court that it had been revealed that he had been assaulted with a blunt weapon as well.
Ruggerite Vaseem Thaajudeen’s body was found in a motor vehicle with suspicious burn injuries on the road near Narahenpita – Shaalikaa grounds on 17th May 2012.
