TNA says it won't accept ministry portfolios of a new government
The TNA says it does not anticipate accepting ministry portfolios of a new government to be formed after August 17th.
Party General Secretary and former MP Mawai Senadhirajah said that his party wants to merge the Northern and the Eastern provinces and a political solution to the consent of the Tamils.
Newspapers quoted recently TNA leader R. Sampandan as saying that the party would not accept government ministry portfolios until a federal system is introduced to solve the crisis in the North.
Our news team contacted TNA General Secretary and leader of TNA coalition Ilangai Tamil Arasu Kachchi Mawai Senadhirajah to comment on the issue.
Speaking to our news team, Senadhirajah said that they want a permanent solution with regard to the resettlement of displaced persons and the release of the detainees who are currently kept on security reasons.
