Cabinet Spokesman Minister Rajitha Senarathna said today that a certain faction kept mum following a phone call they received from Major General Prasanna Silva whose name was dragged into Mirihana white van incident.

Minister Senarathna stated this during the media briefing to inform the Cabinet decisions held in Colombo today.

The Cabinet spokesman said that the TNA’s demand is not to divide the country but to devolution of power.

Meanwhile, the Cabinet spokesman said that there is no political motive behind the murder incidents occurred at Wattala and Bloemendal Street.

Meanwhile Internal Transport minister Ranjith Madduma Bandara has submitted a proposal to the Cabinet yesterday in order to prevent abuse of the symbol of Sri Lanka transport board by private operators and other misappropriations that had been taken in the past.
