Laundry bill of Rs. 632,000 for 3 months arrive at Temple Trees
Several political party representatives made various revelations during several media briefings held with regard to the General Election.
Speaking during a media briefing convened by the UNP in Colombo today, Deputy Minister Doctor Harsha de Silva made a revelation regarding a laundry bill.
Elaborating the matter, he stated that the Prime Minister’s office received a laundry bill of the former Prime Minister demanding to pay a sum of Rs. 632,575 for the months of October, November and December.
He revealed this while making a proposal on a mechanism to generate new job opportunities.
However, speaking during the UPFA media briefing today, the party’s media spokesman Dilan Perera stated that he took a bottle of poison to a recent media briefing as he was merely following a statement made by Venerable Sobitha Thera after he signed the MOU.
Nevertheless, Foreign Affairs Minister Mangala Samaraweera criticized the activities of the former Minister Dilan Perera.
He expressed these views while addressing a rally held in Matara today.
Meanwhile, speaking during the UPFA media briefing, former Foreign Affairs Minister G.L. Peiris stated, he is certain that former President Mahinda Rajapaksa will be appointed as the Prime Minister.
