After assuming duties, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe paid homage to the Kandy Sri Dalada Maligawa this morning.

The Prime Minister then paid a courtesy call on the Chief Prelate of Asgiri Chapter Most Venerable Galagama Sri Attadassi Thera.

According to our correspondent, the Maha Nayake Thera chanted pirith to the Prime Minister and offered his blessings.

After attending the religious rituals held at the Sri Dalada Maligawa, the Prime Minister paid a courtesy call to the Chief Prelate of the Malwathu Chapter Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangla Thera, and obtained his blessings.

Chief Prelate of Malwathu chapter stated that devoid of party differences and party policies all must unite to develop the country.
