Premalal Jayasekara remanded again

Six suspects including former Deputy Minister Premalal Jayasekara were remanded again today, until the 8th September.

This was when the lawsuit regarding the killing of a UNP canvasser in Kahawatta who was engaged in decorations for a rally during the Presidential Elections, was taken for hearing today before the Magistrate of Pelmadulla.  

However former Deputy Minister Premalal Jayasekara had won the highest number of votes among the UPFA candidates in Ratnapura District at the General Elections held on 17th August.
