Colombo Chief Magistrate Gihan Pilapitiya today ordered the CID to take 5 elephants into custody, that were held in captivity at Niraj Roshan alias Ali Roshan’s house without license.

When the relevant case was taken for hearing today, the state counsels stated that CID has conducted a comprehensive investigation with regard to the matter.

The state counsels further said before the court that the investigations have revealed that Ali Roshan had captured 5 elephants from the jungle and held them in captivity in his house.
