President Maithripala pays homage to Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic

President Maithripala Sirisena paid homage to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic in Kandy this morning.

The President, who arrived in Kandy to witness the Kandy Esala Perahera yesterday, also paid a courtesy call to Chief Prelate of Malwathu Chapter Most Venerable Thibbatuwawe Sri Sumangala Thera.

President’s Media Unit stated that the Maha Nayake Thera has expressed his praise to the President, for being able to hold Esala pageant in grandeur.

Later, the President paid a courtesy call to the Chief Prelate of Asgiri Chapter Most Venerable Galagama Sri Attadassi Thera.
