The President stated this after the swearing in ceremony of the new cabinet of the national government which was held at the Presidential Secretariat today.
President Maithreepala Sirisena also said that politicians, at no time, should commit corruption or fraud.
Speaking at this event, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe said the new government will fulfill the given pledges.
Citing the Donomore system, he stated that from 1931 to 1946 the Senate of the country worked together.
Therefore, the current government too can set an example to the world through collaboration, while preserving the party system.
He also stated that if they succeed, the country will succeed.
If not, people will lose their faith in the government.
