Former President Chandrika Kumranatunga says that no outside force offered any support to common candidate Maithripala Sirisena at the recent Presidential Election.
The former President said so responding to queries journalists posed after she participated in a Buddhist and Hindu religious conference held in New Delhi.
On this occasion the journalists also asked whether India had carried out satellite technology communication with the team including common candidate Maithripala Sirisena.
Responding to this former president Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaranatunga said that Viber technology had been used between members of the common opposition during the recent presidential election.
Indian media reports said that during that time the Sri Lankan Government had not known the technique to tap such calls.
