The difference of opinions among the members of the TNA has aggravated over the participation in the UN Human Rights Council session and the report to be presented with regard to Sri Lanka.

TNA media spokesman and Ilangai Tamil Arasu Kachchi member MP M.A. Sumandiran said that a decision has not been taken so far whether to participate in Geneva session.

However, Northern Provincial Councilor from the same party Anandi Shashidaran told our news team that she would participate in the Geneva session in the capacity of a human rights activist.

TNA is an alliance of TELO, Ilangai Tamil Arasu Kachchi, PLOT and EPRLF.

At the same time, TELO member and Northern Provincial Councilor M.K. Sivajilingam said that he would also participate in the Geneva session.

Meanwhile, TNA leader R. Sampanthan said in a meeting held in Trincomalee today that certain sections of the Tamil community are still demanding an international investigation over the alleged war crimes in Sri Lanka.

However, Ilangai Tamil Arasu Kachchi leader and TNA MP Mawei Senadhirajah said that an international tribunal should investigate the alleged war crimes in this country.
