A group of SLFP MPs are preparing to hand over a letter to the party’s Chairman President Maithripala Sirisena refuting the national government concept.

The party’s internal sources stated that MPs who intend to sit in the Opposition in parliament and those who would not assume positions in the national government are signing the letter these days.

The group of MPs plan to submit the letter to the party’s chairman President Maithripala Sirisena before to the next parliamentary session.

The objective is to inform the President that they intend to sit in Opposition.

Meanwhile, SLFP senior member MP Kumara Welgama stated that 30 SLFP MP’s would not support the national government and would sit in the Opposition.
