Sea turns rough, fishermen advised to be vigilant

The met department states that Showery weather in the south-western parts and strong winds over the island and neighbouring sea areas will continue to prevail.

 

Showers will occur at times in the Western, Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southern provinces.

 

Thundershowers will develop at a few places in the Eastern and Uva provinces after 4.00 pm.

 

There may be temporary localized strong winds during thundershowers.

 

Duty Meteorologist Nuwan Bandara advised the fishermen to be vigilant due to rough seas.
