President Maithreepala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe state that the government has neither held discussions with regard to CEPA nor taken any step to implement it.
The two leaders revealed this information during a meeting they had with the heads of media institutions at the President’s House this afternoon.
Speaking further, president Sirisena has told the heads of media that the Sri Lankan government is currently ushering a friendly foreign policy with all the countries in the world.
He pointed out that the policy adopted by certain countries in the past in dealing with Sri Lanka has now changed, substantially.
He further stated that the political change took place in the country on January 8th caused this change.
