Water levels of Kalu, Nilwala and Ging Rivers expected to increase following incessant showers

The Disaster Management centre states that Due to incessant showers there is a risk of water levels rising in Kalu, Nilwala and Ging rivers.

Deputy Director of the centre Pradeep Kodipillai requested the general public to be vijiant.

The met department states that Prevailing windy conditions over the island and neighbouring sea areas will reduce by tomorrow.

Showers will occur at times with cloudy skies in Western, Southern, Central, Sabaragamuwa provinces and in some parts of the North-western province.

Heavy falls around 100 mili meters are also expected at some places
