Ready to stand before a domestic court; says Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka
Democratic Party Leader, former Army Commander Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka has offered himself to face a domestic court of law on allegations against military operations during the War.
In an interview with India’s The Hindu newspaper, Field Marshal Fonseka said that if there are allegations against military operations, he is ready to face anybody and present the right picture.
He also wanted those who were his colleagues in the Army to cooperate with the authorities concerned.
Democratic Party Leader Sarath Fonseka said that if credible evidence was available, investigations should be done and the due process of law be followed.
He further said that if we were sincere, we should follow the proper legal procedures.
Democratic Party Leader, Field Marshal Sarath Fonseka at a recent media briefing also expressed his views regarding the Geneva report.
