The left-winged coalitions of the UPFA blame its leadership for appointing defeated candidates to parliament through its national list thereby depriving the left-winged coalitions of entering parliament.

Addressing a media conference held in Colombo this morning, Lanka Samasamaja Party General Secretary Dr. Tissa Vitharana said appointment of defeated candidates to parliament through the national list is regrettable.

Secretary of the Communist Party of Sri Lanka Dew Gunasekara, MEP leader Dinesh Gunawardena and Democratic Left Front Secretary Vasudeva Nanayakkara were present at the occasion.

Democratic Left Front Secretary MP Vasudeva Nanayakkara said that the nomination of defeated candidates for the national list of the UPFA is an act of gravest prejudice against them.
