The 17-year old school student and the other suspect of the Seya Sadevmi murder were further remanded until the 2nd of October.

The suspects were further remanded after the police informed the court that the DNA test report cannot be produced today as the report was not released as yet.

Meanwhile, lawyers who appeared for the student requested the court to direct the student for a medical test, based on reports that stated the student was assaulted during police custody.

Having considered the request, Magistrate D.A. Ruwan Pathirana ordered for a medical test on the student.

The two suspects were remanded till today, when they were produced before Court on the 23rd of September.

However, the main suspect of the Seya Sadevmi murder, 32-year old Dunesh Priyashantha alias Kondaya was arrested later.
