The Lanka Teachers Association states that students who sat the GCE Advanced Level examination last August could lose seven marks due to several errors of four multiple choice questions and two questions of the structural essay section of the Biology question paper.
Addressing a media conference held in Colombo today, General Secretary of the Association Mahinda Jayasinghe said the Commissioner of Examination was educated on the matter on August 10th.
He further said that a petition would be filed with the Human Rights Commission based on the injustice caused to students as this issue has not yet been remedied.
When contacted, Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara said that he is not aware of such a matter.
He further said that he would take action to look into the matter.
