The Government says that the US resolution on Sri Lanka passed at the Geneva HRC yesterday is an honorable victory for the country to be freed from the problems the country is currently facing.

Foreign Affairs Deputy Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva said that it could not in any way be identified as a betrayal as stated by those opposing it.

The Deputy Foreign Minister said so while participating in the “Balaya” political programme telecast over Hiru TV last night.

NFF media spokesman Mohamed Musammil, JHU national organizer Nishantha Sri Warnasinghe and JVP Political Politburo member Sunil Handunetthi too participated in yesterday’s ‘Balaya’ programme.
