Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe who is currently in Japan on an official tour met with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Kyoto today.

This was on the sidelines of the Science and Technology Summit in Kyoto.

However, the official round of discussions between the two Prime Ministers will be held on the 06th in Tokyo.

Yesterday Prime Minister Ranil Wickramasingha was warmly welcomed at the Air Port by the Ambassador of Kanasi Akira Meera, Japanese ambassador to Sri lanka Konichi Sugunuma and Sri lankan ambassador to Japan Professor Dhammika Ganganath Dissanayka.

Prime Minister Wickremesinghe also meet with the Emperor of Japan.
