Kokmaduwa to Imaduwa intersection on Southern Expressway reopened

The Southern Expressway between Kokmaduwa and Imaduwa which was closed has been reopened.


The section had to be closed due to the risk of landslides.


However, with the weather turning to be better, the intersection has been reopened.


R M S Bandara of the National Building Research Organization requested people near landslide prone areas to be cautious.


Meanwhile, residents near the 114th Mile post on the Imaduwa – Kokmaduwa Intersection say that they are inconvenienced by the landslide threat.
